Hello

I’m Francesca, and I have over 11 years of experience tutoring math and chemistry to students ranging from 13-40 years old. Currently, I’m pursuing my master’s degree in computational math at Texas A&M, while continuing to teach math and chemistry on the side. My previous degrees include a BA in psychology from UC Berkeley and a BA in applied mathematics from Southern New Hampshire University, where I graduated summa cum laude. By continually furthering my education, I can tutor students with greater efficacy and am able to cover an ever-increasing range of topics.

When meeting regularly or occasionally with students, I assess their needs and determine how they can best attain their goals. Whether they are attempting to improve their grade in a university math course or take an entrance exam, my students are striving toward academic success and my job is to facilitate the process. By assessing their current level in the initial lessons, I can quickly strategize how to best help them, which often involves assigning additional homework problems. As soon as I see that they’re struggling with the concepts underlying a problem set, I compute the exercises step by step and provide all necessary formulas and background information so that they’ll be able to perform similar exercise autonomously. In addition, I feel comfortable teaching math and chemistry in English, German, and Italian.

If you’re interested in arranging a lesson, please feel free to contact me. I’m happy to hear about your current situation and help you with math and chemistry. I look forward to hearing from you!
